Founded by Gerry Ettinger over 70 years ago, this family owned business is still run by his eldest son, Robert. As one of the last British luxury leather goods companies still operating in the UK, Ettinger's is proud to design and hand craft only the finest leather goods. In 1996, in recognition of work done for the Royal Household, Etinger was appointed with a Royal warrant to HRH the Prince of Wales.
In 1934, Gerry Ettinger started Ettinger, after working in the film industry in Germany and Italy, with the likes of Marlene Dietrich. he used his extensive contacts in continental Europe and England to create an array of luxury gifts, known for their quality and innovation. As a master of five languages, Gerry was known for his international outlook and ability to make cross border deals. He acquired a small leather goods manufacturing business, operating in London since the 18th century, thus starting the company that has grown in to today's Ettinger. In 1990, Robert took over, holding to the principles of tradition and craftsmanship, while adding contemporary designs and expanding into Asia, Korea, south Africa, Hong kong, Australa, Japan and the US.
In 1992, Ettinger was awarded the Wimbeldon Licence, a royal Warrant in 1996, and in 2001, Walpole Membership. Throughout this time, Ettinger has continued to expand, introducing new and innovative product lines. A number of these are feature on ettinger.co.uk, including Bridle hide, TT, Purple, Lifestyle, Bentley, Wimbeldon and Bespoke, as well as accessories, bags and corporate gifts.
Distribution is available in the UK, japan, USA, Italy, Australia, Norway, Thailand, Korea, Belgium, France, Hong Kong, Austria, Guam, New Zealand, Germany and online.
