Originally a Dutch wholesale company with a size range from 8 to 20, Elvi was founded Elin Vissor, from whos name the Elvi brand was derived when created in the 1940's. It had a long history based in Holland and wholesaled across Europe - mainly in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Franc. In 1993, Elvi was purchased by a company named Lerose Limited, who were in turn bought out by County Casuals.
The new owners saw an opportunity to create a brand for size 16 and up in the UK, both in High Street shops and department store concessions. Utilizing its strengths in producing and sourcing plus sized collections, Elvi was launched as a quality retailer in the UK specializing in size 16 and up fashions for women.
Clothing options include dresses, tops, trousers, skirts, coat and jackets, knit wear, and Autumn and winter outfits. Accessories including bags, jewelry, scarves and scarf and glove sets are also available. Essentials such as camis and jersey t-shirts, as well as a wide range of footwear in all styles and sizes are offered too.
Elvi.co.uk allows their browsers to navigate their website via both top and side menu bars, utilizing Clothing, Accessories, Essentials, and Footwear as main categories with the subdivisions mentioned above. In addition, options to browse the latest styles in clothing, footwear and accessories are available in the New In Section. If the customer so chooses, they may also peruse selections based on price, clearance, or special offers on all clothing styles. An additional Sale section is included, covering jewelry and all clothing styles. Elvi.co.uk also gives users the opportunity to set up a wish list and the ability to look back at recently viewed items, as well as conducting an advanced search.
Standard and express delivery services are available through the Royal Mail service, and only a single charge will apply, given all items are shipped to the same address. If multiple addresses are used, it is requested that separate orders be placed.
A blog, outfit ideas and size guide are also available online as well, to help achieve the customer satisfaction for which Elvi prides itself. Credit/Debit card and PayPal are accepted.
