The dress-for-less site belongs to a German company called dress-for-less GmbH, which was founded in 1999. dress-for-less bills itself as an online retailer of designer clothes, accessories and shoes for women, men and children, and its logo suggests customers receive seventy percent off regular price. So far, so formulaic, but lest one mistakenly dismiss dress-for-less as just another vendor of cheap but fashionable gear, a trip to the list of designers represented on the site is in order. There is an amazing variety of different names to be found there, and only some of them will be familiar. Adele Fado does spare classic reinterpretations of womenswear, aemkei combines American urban style with a European eye whereas alife kickin interprets that idea in a more straightforward way ("kickin" is a pun here), Alpha Industries is a US manufacturer of military surplus fashion, for example, but all those brands and very many others carried by dress-for-less are genuine cult items, made for a certain loyal market segment and supported faithfully by those customers.
